Rebekah Spicuglia and son
This Sunday, January 10, “Co-Parenting Matters” returns from its holiday hiatus. Please join us at 9:30 PM EST; our topic will be noncustodial parenting. Our guest will be Rebekah Spicuglia, who is a noncustodial parent and the founder of the NonCustodial Parent Community. Rebekah will de-bunk some common misconceptions about who noncustodial parents are, discuss unique challenges faced by noncustodial parents, and offer important tips to help noncustodial parents stay involved and connected to their children.
As always we welcome your comments and questions here in advance of the show, or you can send them to contact AT coparentingmatters DOT com. On Sunday night…call in, chat, Tweet us…we want to hear from you!
In the meantime, you can read an interview we conducted with Rebekah here.

What a great topic and one that needs to be discussed more. Non-custodial parents face unique challenges and can benefit from a supportive community and the advice of someone who understands these challenges intimately. We can all learn more about how to stay connected with our kids and this topic will hopefully also bring some validation and respect for the perseverance of non-custodial parents, who work hard to build and maintin these relationships under a variety of circumstances.
I work mainly with non-custodial parents who are either thinking about entering into new love relationships or are already in stepfamilies and trying to figure out how to balance this with their primary commitment to their biological children. I will definitely be sharing the information about this upcoming Co-Parenting Matters topic with the people I am connected to.
Thanks to Co-Parenting Matters for sharing Rebekah and her experience with a broader audience.
All the Best as we enter 2010.
