Just asked my ex to make sure our oldest daughter scrubs her neck & remembers her deodorant.
Already working out the parenting time details of Spring Break 2011 w/the ex.So thankful these conversations are drama-free.
Last week, I (Deesha) posted the above tweets to the Co-Parenting101 Twitter account. After the second one, I was reminded of this past Father’s Day when someone accused one of my tweeps Michele (Black ‘n Bougie) of rubbing her good father in the face of those whose daddies left a lot to be desired. I had a father like that, but I certainly didn’t begrudge anyone giving their great dad a shout-out. Similarly, I don’t begrudge anyone’s right to rant about their awful ex (out of earshot of their kids, of course). But I realized that efforts to avoid coming across as bragging have limited the extent to which I’ve tweeted and posted here about how Mike and I are able to cooperate, about how co-parenting looks for us logistically, practically, day to day. To avoid alienating, it seems we’ve skimped on the details of our co-parenting journey…the sharing of which was kinda the whole point of this site.
